Ground Burial
A ground burial is a traditional way of laying a loved one to rest. It involves placing a casket in the ground, which must be enclosed in a steel or concrete liner or a concrete vault. It's important to note that only one interment is allowed in a burial space at the Sachse Cemetery. The committal service prior to the burial of the casket is conducted at the Committal Shelter located at the front gate area of the cemetery. Upon completion of the committal service, the casket is then removed and taken to the grave site for burial. See Committal Shelter Rules for additional details.
Cremations

Cremains can be inurned in a burial space or placed in a niche in the columbarium.

Our columbarium offers a variety of niches to accommodate different urn sizes and preferences. Inurn your loved one's cremains in a peaceful and secure resting place at our columbarium.

The ground burial of cremains requires a burial space in the Urn Garden or in any section of the Sachse Cemetery. If the cremains are to be interred in a regular burial space, two (2) cremains can be placed in this space.

A cremation can also be placed with a family member already interred in a burial space. There is a fee for this service and the cremains must be an immediate family member.
