Committal Shelter

The Sachse Cemetery mandates that all committal services be conducted at the designated Committal Shelter. This shelter provides essential protection from environmental elements such as sun, rain, snow, and muddy ground, ensuring a comfortable setting for family and guests during the service. The shelter is equipped with seating arrangements to accommodate attendees, facilitating a respectful and organized ceremony.

Following the service, the casket is carefully transported to the burial site for interment. This process is carried out with safety in mind, minimizing the use of heavy machinery near the family and guests to maintain a respectful atmosphere. After the burial, visitors are permitted to visit the grave site, offering an opportunity for reflection and remembrance.

In some cases, families may opt to hold the service directly at the graveside. This alternative option typically incurs additional costs and may restrict movement around the burial area, which could impact the overall experience of the service. Families should consider these factors when planning their arrangements to ensure their preferences are accommodated appropriately.

The Sachse Cemetery Foundation is a 501c13 Nonprofit Organization
